Make Your Own Lunch
We spend a LOT of money on fast food. If you're going to work or on a trip pack your own lunch ahead of time. You can invest in a small lunch cooler to carry with you and preserve the food till it's time to chow down. It may take a dollar to put together a couple of sandwiches whereas you will spend at LEAST $5 getting a combo meal somewhere.
Avoid restaurants and restaurant costs. Plan ahead and save money.
This blog aims to show average (and not so average) Americans ways to save money and become more self-sufficient in doing so. Even if some advice is impractical, I can guarantee that there is something here for everyone. Have a look around and leave me some feedback.
This site is not here to complain (although I'm sure I'll include some minor ones in parts, being human and all). I am here to show American's how to save money as the price of gas increases. What does this all have to do with the price of gas?
As the price of oil and gas continue to rise, Americans and those around the world are starting to feel the crunch on their pocket books. This will only get worse as time goes on. Even if oil speculation is brought under control it will still only be a matter of time before prices begin to climb again. The simple fact is this: we are running out of oil. It is a finite resource and we're using it all.
